We’re nearing the end of the year and people are starting to think of their New Year’s resolutions.

That’s all great, but I want to take you on a different route and perspective for the coming year.

Setting goals that are filled with ambition and provide you the necessary drive to put in the work.

Think of next year and the goals you’re going to set for yourself. You need the motivation to push yourself out of your comfort zone and make life happen!

8 Equities of Life

To make this easier for you, I want you to focus on the 8 Equities of Life, which covers:

  • Physical
  • Family
  • Spiritual
  • Career
  • Attitude
  • Financial
  • Relationships
  • Knowledge

These 8 Equities of Life came from my mentor, Mike Vance, who used to say, “Look at the bigger picture.”

So don’t be myopic and really examine what equity you need to work on more. You have to work in each area so you can feel a sense of fulfillment.

Before we begin, I want you to download the PDF worksheet that will guide you on the upcoming exercise that I cover on this episode!

So let’s start!

Take a Trip Down Memory Lane

Now that you have the worksheet printed and in front of you, I want you to really dive into this exercise.

What was your life like 5 years ago? What did you look like? What was your weight? How old were you?

Reflect on your past and write your answers down!

And I want you to focus on the 8 Equities and examine where was your family life like 5 years ago.

Where were you spiritually?

What about your career and business?

Really dig into this exercise and reflect on where your life was and how it has improved, declined, or perhaps stayed the same.

Be honest with yourself and remember that there’s no judgement here. Being true to yourself is the only way you can move forward and succeed.
