It’s Time to Get Up and Take Action

I’m writing to you from Las Vegas, where our biggest event of the year — SUMMIT — is taking place RIGHT NOW at the MGM Grand.
I’ve got a giant room full of thousands of success-minded real estate professionals sharing three+ days with me, learning new business strategies, networking and getting motivated to take their businesses to the next level.
So I have a question for you:
Why aren’t you here?
You follow me. You’re reading the blog on my website right now. I think it’s safe to assume you’re a fan. I’m just curious — what prevented you from making that trip?

You might have a perfectly reasonable explanation.
But the people I want to reach today are those who wish they were here but just never made that commitment. Or actually, anyone who has ever been in a place in life or business where you wanted to do something, but just never acted on your desire.
There’s a reason you didn’t commit. Let’s talk about that.
What happened? Why didn’t you pull the trigger? What does that say about you and your commitment to your business?
Just to be clear, I’m not writing this for my benefit. We sold plenty of tickets. The room is packed and the energy is off the charts. I’m writing it for your benefit.
If you wanted to be here but you’re not, that sends a very clear message about your commitment level to your business.

Interested vs. Committed

This is actually a perfect opportunity to remind you the critical difference between being interested and being committed. (Check out this episode of the Tom Ferry Show for more on this topic.)
People who are interested talk about their plans.
People who are committed do whatever is necessary to succeed and to achieve their goals. They become unstoppable. For the truly committed, there are no excuses — a lack of resources, time, etc. doesn’t matter. They do whatever it takes to achieve their goal.

Making the Leap From Interested to Committed

What makes the difference between interest and commitment is whether or not your behaviors are aligned with what you’re saying. Nothing happens until you align your behaviors with what you say you want.
To become the person you want to become, the businessperson you want to become, to live the life you desire, you need to be fully committed.
Here’s an action step I want you to take: The next time an opportunity arises that you say, “Wow, I’d really like to go to that,” if it aligns with your goals, don’t hesitate… Just do it! Sign up right then and there. I don’t care if it’s one of our events or someone else’s events.

Show Me Your Behaviors, and I’ll Show You Your Future

What I do care about is helping you do something to create the change in your life you desire — to stoke the fire of ambition. And that change begins by demonstrating the behavior that gets you there.
So if you’re sitting in your office wishing you were at the MGM Grand with me this week, it’s time to stop talking about what you want to do and start demonstrating the behavior that’s aligned with your goals.
Once you take that first step, you’ll soon be unstoppable. Also, don’t forget to always keep your goals in front of you — to keep yourself accountable.
