VP - Marketing

The Vice President – Marketing is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. Specific responsibilities include business and market development; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion and advertising; coordination with sales; and hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing staff. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provide support in the area of marketing strategy and management.
  2. Develop the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve system and goals.
  3. Develop strategies that drive lead generation at a high volume. 
  4. Leverage data to inform decisions.
  5. Provide leadership and/or support the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines.
  6. Oversee and provide direction to market and competitor analysis.
  7. Provide leadership, direction and management of the market research function.
  8. Create an institutional and system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance.
  9. Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.
  10. Provide input and support to the company’s leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements.
  11. Coordinate marketing efforts of resellers, including international resellers, with strategic plans and objectives.
  12. Provide marketing skills and expertise to the company by building, developing and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics.
  13. Prepare presentations to explain the company’s current and future strategies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Regularly leads and directs employees in the Marketing department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred) in a relevant field and/or ten or more years’ relevant experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Passion for direct marketing design/performance that drives registration, conversions and overall revenue.
  • Skilled in all areas of marketing design.  Including but not limited to Ad creative, AB testing methodologies, email campaign, landing page design and conversion funnels.
  • Complete understanding of SEO, viral techniques, and leveraging of social networks.
  • Experience in Social networking and mobile apps is a strong plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
