Payroll Specialist

What you’ll do 

The Payroll Specialist will perform various payroll tasks such as processing bi-weekly payroll, entering payroll data into system database, and ensuring timely paycheck delivery to employees.

The ideal candidate can start immediately and report to our Santa Ana office for training in person. 

Primary Duties

  1. Review new employee packets, while maintaining full compliance
  2. Ensure all compliance is updated daily
  3. Familiarize yourself and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors
  4. Export data into ADP Workforce and ensuring data is precise
  5. Sort paychecks by division for proper delivery
  6. Process manual checks for all divisions outside the normal payroll runs
  7. Answer all related payroll inquires
  8. Track and reconcile PTO based on written policy
  9. Reconcile timesheets
  10. Conduct semi-annual audits of all payroll records

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities required:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in payroll
  • Experience with payroll processing using ADP Workforce
  • Excellent organization and mathematical skills with attention to detail
  • Effectively follow procedures and execute tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing procedures.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
  • General familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Solutions and the ability to perform journal entries

Compensation: $50,000 to $60,000/year
