Inside Sales Manager - Events


The Inside Sales Manager supervises, plans, organizes and coordinates the activities and operations of the company’s telemarketing sales departments: Events Sales, the Account Managers and the Confirmation Department/Events Team, develops and standardizes processes and procedures and performs a variety of sales and supervisory duties.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Supervises, trains, and evaluates employees.
2. Instructs and trains personnel in accordance with established methods and procedures.
3. Reviews employees’ work for accuracy and proper authorization.
4. Analyzes monthly revenue and sales goal data; makes recommendations regarding staffing and procedural changes.
5. Assists in developing new systems and procedures; makes recommendations in modifying existing methods.
6. Works closely with the marketing department on strategies to drive leads.
7. Recruits and motivates employees.
8. Attendance and on-time reporting.
9. Maintains compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
10. Participates in proactive efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
11. Works effectively and communicates clearly with other employees.
12. Handles changing deadlines and priorities.
13. Reviews work for accuracy, completeness and proper authority.
14. Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
Regularly leads and directs employees in Events Sales, Account Managers and the Confirmation Department/Events Team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing motivation and incentive for performance; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree; or three to five years’ relevant experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities
• Ability to improve and document work processes
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
• Must be able to manage, organize and update relevant data using CRM software system (Salesforce) and corporate website

Language Skills
Fluent English languages skills – reading, writing and spoken. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as job descriptions, policies and procedures, sales and revenue reports. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Computer Skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced skills with or other CRM experience.

Planning and Organization
Prioritizes, organizes and delegates assignments.

Physical Demands
This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: reaching, sitting, lifting (≤25 pounds), finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.

Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.

The office work environment can be boisterous. Attire is business casual.

Minimal (up to 10%). May be required to travel overnight – by car or air – to support various events sometimes working in excess of eight (8) hours/day.
