Director of Coaching Services


The Director – Coaching Services proactively supervises, plans, organizes and coordinates the activities and operations of the Client Services Department as well as manages and coordinates the activities of the Independent Contractor Coaches.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Supervises, coaches, trains, and evaluates employees in the Coaching Services department.
2. Develops and optimizes a recruitment process to recruit Independent Contractor Coach Candidates through various channels to ensure 120+ quality coaches join the Tom Ferry ecosystem to support the company’s growth initiatives.
3. Develops and manages Coach Advisory Council in order to develop approved coaching curriculum and establish best practices for the coaching body.
4. Spearheads communication between independent coaching body and TFYC organization to ensure business objectives and brand image are being met
5. Increases retention of existing clients through analysis of metrics, development of clearly defined processes and identification of coach behaviors that impact renewals.
6. Builds coaching services infrastructure and develop and mentor support team to achieve optimal performance and company objectives
7. Develops and manages the ongoing training program to ensure new coaches complete the approved curriculum and are aligned with brand standards and expectations of the role.
8. Identifies trends in the industry and behavior patterns of existing clients to create ongoing training programs through group and mastermind sessions to extend the life time value of our coaching clients. Leverages the expertise of top performers to ensure best practices are established and communicated to the entire coaching body.
9. Analyzes KPIs of coaches to determine areas of growth and develop action plans necessary to improve individual performance to align with company standards
10. Responsible for development and P&L of coaching division budget.
11. Develops annual plan for coaching division based on company objectives and goals along with executive team
12. Provides cross departmental support and teamwork to achieve company goals.
13. Attendance and on-time reporting.
14. Maintains compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
15. Participates in proactive efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
16. Works effectively and communicates clearly with other employees.
17. Handles changing deadlines and priorities.
18. Reviews employees’ and own work for accuracy, completeness and proper authority.
19. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Regularly leads and directs employees in the Coaching Services department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
MBA plus seven to ten years’ leadership experience with a demonstrated record of high performance for team development and goal achievement

Language Skills
Fluent English languages skills – reading, writing and spoken. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Computer Skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Mathematical Skills
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, and percentages.

Planning and Organization
• Must possess excellent follow-up skills
• Must be detail-oriented in dealing with contracts and records
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and aggressive time lines

Physical Demands
This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: reaching, sitting, lifting (≤25 pounds), finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.

Work Environment
• Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
• The office work environment can be boisterous.
• Attire is business casual.

Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%).
