Data Architect
The Data Architect ensures that access to disperse enterprise data is easily consumable by end-users. The ideal architect will partner with team members, customers, and business owners in creating robust and scalable solutions to accomplish the enterprise goals of the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design and implement a flexible platform for operational data stores, data warehouses, data marts and data lakes using standard practices as well as documenting the systems of record, data dictionaries and data flow diagrams for strategic data management
- Develop and maintain ETL jobs
- Actively contribute towards data migration tasks from on-premises to cloud
- Multi-task across several ongoing projects and daily duties of varying priorities as required
- Ability to make good judgments, decisions, negotiate and problem solve
- Create detailed technical specifications and release documentation for assigned ETL and reporting projects
- Log and track system problems through resolution.
- Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help-related materials as applications are developed.
- Maintain technical documentation of existing and future applications.
- Attendance and on-time reporting.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
- Participate in proactive efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Work effectively and communicates clearly with other employees.
- Handle changing deadlines and priorities.
- Review work for accuracy, completeness and proper authority.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree; and 5+ years’ experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience with Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts (Kimball)
- Extensive experience with BI/DW lifecycle including source data analysis, ETL, data marts, reporting, dashboards, and analytics
- 5+ years of experience developing ETL processes with large scale data warehouses required
- Experience with NoSQL data (JSON, etc.) a big plus
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employee of organizations.
Mathematical Skills
Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, statistical equations and probability equations. Interpret and apply statistical and probability tables and graphs.
Planning and Organization
Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Demands
This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: reaching, sitting, lifting (≤25 pounds), finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
The office work environment is boisterous. Attire is business casual.
