Chief Revenue Officer

Summary
A chief revenue officer (CRO) is responsible for all revenue processes and is accountable for driving better integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions Sales and Marketing. The CRO must maintain an excellent communication framework across the various organizational functions and share best practices among the revenue stream managers in order to maximize revenue production and the ability to report to the President, COO and CFO.

Responsibilities

1. Drive scale and profitability by appropriately professionalizing the go-to-market strategy and sales function.
2. Drive marketing leadership to create and execute winning marketing strategies to drive profitable growth.
3. Propel sales leadership to develop and implement revenue driving strategies, which create long-term customer and business value.
4. Maintain a customer-first focused organization.
5. Effectively resolve issues across the marketing and sales functions – must be comfortable with conflict, addressing issues, and solving problems in a practical and healthy manner.
6. Build a winning sales team and organization through hiring and inspiring team members.
7. Create accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and performance expectations.
8. Consistently demonstrate a passion for the company’s core values.
9. Maintains compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
10. Participates in proactive efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
11. Works effectively and communicates clearly with other employees.
12. Handles changing deadlines and priorities.
13. Reviews work for accuracy, completeness and proper authority.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred) in a relevant field and/or ten or more years’ relevant experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven results as a Chief Revenue Officer or a similarly relevant role required
• Previous sales and marketing experience required
• Experience implementing RevOps strategies
• Experience working with in a professional development industry strongly preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities
Regularly leads and directs employees in Sales and Marketing. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Computer Skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Expertise with Salesforce CRM

Physical Demands
This is relatively sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: reaching, sitting, standing, lifting (≤25 pounds), finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.

Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
The office work environment can be boisterous. Attire is business casual.

Travel
Minimal

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
